About Us
Our "Club"
Our "club" started in March 2022 and is comprised of members who are involved or want to be involved in the Cecil County ARES/RACES functions.
Don't get to hung up on the word "Club" as we use it loosely. It's an open club and at this point there are no dues, no application, you fill in the "Subscibe" section, show up on the net(s), participate in functions (i.e. Field Day, POTA, Boy Scouts,...) and help us promote the amateur radio hobby to others.
We run an active Cecil County ARES net every Sunday night @ 2000 hrs (8:00 pm) and is open to all licensed HAMs who wish to participate. This net is operated on the 2 meter repeater (145.4700 PL 94.8 Hz.).
The History of Our Station
Started in March 2022 and comprises of 3 repeaters functioning in central Cecil County. The repeater information is:
- 2 Meter - 145.470 PL 94.8 Hz - Bridgecom BCR 50V Repeater w/Arcom RC210 Controller, 6 Cavity Bridgecom Duplexer @ 110' running 40w
- 70 cm - 448.5750 PL 107.2 Hz - Yaesu DR-2X Fusion Repeater w/Internal Controller, 6 Cavity "Pancake Style" Duplexer @ 110' running 20w
- 70 cm - 442.9500 PL 103.5 Hz - Maggiore R-1 Repeater w/CAT 300 DX Controller, 6 Cavity Phelps-Dodge Duplexer @ 35' running 20w

All of our repeaters are ARES/RACES coordinated for emergency communications if needed in the Cecil, Harford, New Castle County areas.
